A participation certificate, on a made-up contributor
What a contributor to a registered project can hold, drawn for a made-up contributor by the same code that draws a real certificate. Every part of it says it is a sample, and none of it is valid anywhere.
Contributor certificates are not issued here yet.We do not show a sample contributor certificate here yet, because its final wording is not published. The badges below have no wording of their own, so you can see them now.
Status-only
The holder has not chosen to show it in full. Nothing names them or their projects: the certificate says only that a contributor is credited, and by how many projects.
The badges
Shown in full
The holder chose to show their login: the certificate names them and the projects that credit them. Its badges below name nobody.
Showing the login is not open here yet: a certificate here is status-only.The badges
The README snippet's shape
A holder puts a badge in a README or on a profile with a snippet like this one. It is the shape
only: cert_… stands where a real certificate's id goes, so it links to nothing. A real
certificate's snippet carries its own id and opens its own page on /verify.
